Even so, three men were capable of causing their opponent to tap out in the main event: Chris Benoit, John Cena, and Undertaker.

Benoit was the first man to win the world title by submission, when he did so at WrestleMania XX in a triple-threat match. He competed in the main events of WrestleMania 15, 16, and 17 consecutively. Sorry for missing that. Being booked for a WrestleMania match is a tremendous achievement.

Headlining WrestleMania is often a career highlight for wrestlers. Headlining the main event world title match at WrestleMania three times in a row is, well, a record. It is shared by Hulk Hogan and Triple H, both of whom entered the match as a champion, but left empty-handed. Out of these matches, only Hogan walked into two as a challenger and walked out as champion.

This is not based on any other main event match in which Hogan or Triple H were involved. Yet another record that Hulk Hogan and Triple H share: a total of six main event title matches appearances. Both matches took place in Toronto at the Skydome.
